Have you heard the new duet by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait called Lucky??
here is a link to the music video in youtube…
I am neither long distance nor desitination wedding, however, I thought this song was beautiful. It talks about being away fromt the one you love, coming back to them and being home. It also talks about meeting on an island, flowers in your air, and about just plain being lucky to be in love with the one you’ve got…
I think it’s super, and I would totally use it for something if it applied a bit more to our more traditional situation.

@ Mighty Saphire – I am glad you liked it. They performed it on the Ellen show yesterday. While watching it on DVR last ight I rewound it twice and then thought… I should post this on weddingbee, theres gotta be someone who’s situation this applies to. 🙂 I’d be curious to know what your Fiance says about it when he hears it.

- Wedding: November 2018 - Majestic Colonial Resort, Punta Cana
Aww. I love that song!
I have to admit, whenever I hear that line ‘Though the breezes through the trees move so pretty you’re all I see" I always think I hear "Breezy" as in the mister. Ha ha.

Love it. We’ve been doing distance (including across the ocean to Japan!) on and off for years now, so I may be stealing this. Thanks!

- Wedding: August 2009 - Ceremony at the Lanikuhonua Phase II private estate, reception at a historic hotel in Waikiki
i LOVE this song! I listened to it on repeat during my metro ride yesterday. We were considering using this as our song until we found out my buddy was going with it for their wedding a month prior. 🙂

Oh our first dance song! Loved it even more after seeing the video, not sure where it’s shot but reminds me of Puerto Rico where we are getting married. Yep we are semi-long distance (90min) lovers too and don’t see each other every day. Only for 7 more weeks! woowho
