Hey sewers (or other people who might know),
I was wondering if a dress without a train that is too long can be altered into a correctly hemmed dress with a train? Is there something about the construction of the skirt that creates a train, or is it a simple hemming question? Thanks!

If the dress is long enough to accomodate a train, there should be no problem hemming it so it’s longer in the back.

@AlwaysSunny: That’s what I thought too, but I tried to find pictures/examples online, and nothing popped up… so I figured I’d ask the bee.
