My sister is getting married on April 27th. I’d like to wear a long dress (I’m not a bridemaid, we don’t have bridemaids in my coutnry, only a maid of honour, my sister’s best friend), but I wonder if it is fine to wear long in a morning ceremony (11 a.m.). I read somewhere that long dresses are more suitable for an afternoon wedding… What do you think bees?

I don’t follow rules like dress length based on time of day. Wear what you want!

I’d say, ask your sister what she thinks.

agree with PP. Wear a dress you love and feel pretty in. sometimes these “rules” are more bother than they are worth.

Agree with everyone! And you can definitely find a long dress that doesn’t feel as formal.

Maybe a really pretty Maxi dress with a bright cardigan or something… no jean jacket 🙂

I second @KCKnd2: in asking your sisters opinion! As long as she doesn’t mind then I see no issue!
