Fun shorter dress!! i say get them both they are so cute that even if you got it in white, you could wear it twice as a party dress, you know?

That’s a really cute dress! If you don’t really want a short dress for your wedding then either get the short dress for the reception or don’t bother. Your Fiance is going to love what you wear no matter what.

This is exactly why I told my Fiance he gets no input and gets to know absolutely nothing about the dress. I can’t believe after having no opinion he has now decided it would “mean alot” if you wore a short dress – what does that even mean? Men confuse me sometimes. That would really piss me off, though. I’d stick to your original dress and then get a second (short) dress for the reception. He’s so totally not allowed to shoot it down since he’s the one that made it an issue in the first place (and you could totally wear it again anyway). If it was me I’d probably make him pay for it just for the mental anguish 🙂

Do you have a picture of your original dress?  Ultimately it’s your dress and he will think you look beautiful no matter what.  Make sure you do what you think makes you feel like a bride, not just what he’d prefer.  I’m not saying that his opinion isn’t important, but how you feel matters more.

That dress is just adorable. I can see why your FH suddenly loved it.

Now, the way I see it you have two choices, you can tell your FH that you value his imput but you already asked his opinion and you went ahead and have bought a dress that you love and you hope he loves too and just leave it. Or you can buy the shorter dress and wear it at the reception as a compromise. I sat Mr Moo down and made me look at dresses to get his reaction because he’s just like your FH (“eh, no opinion honey, wear what you like”) before getting a dress. Now he gets no more input, but he does get to give me input about accessories.

I love both. I say, splurge on a party dress for the reception and then justify it by dying it and wearing it to parties afterward. If he balks at the extra spending, tell him it’s his fault for not having an opinion in the first place! 😉

Wow, I’m in love with your original dress and see why you chose it!  I love the short one too, it looks really fun.

What do you picture yourself in on your big day?  Go with the picture in your head and he will never have seen a more beautiful bride either way.
