So i have a little bit longer than shoulder length hair and i really want to have longer hair for my august 1st wedding, has anyone tried those jessica simpson hair pieces? My future sister in law and I are both hairstylists and i dont know if i was to ruin my hair with hair extensions? Any thoughts?????

    Hi Mleanne,

I haven't tried them myself, but one of my best friends wore one for her wedding and it looked amazing. She had her own hair colored to match the extensions so that it looked seamless, and then wore her hair half up/half down. Her own hair was only about chin length, too, so she gained several inches this way.

    Good luck!

If you grow your hair out until then, you can get almost that much length. I have also heard tons of great things about those extensions.

I just took my great lengths out, it was time they were getting long and old. It was a hard decision since the wedding is in April. I haven't wanted to do them again but I feel like my hair is so thin! In part because you get used to the extra fullness and in part because lots of my hair is only 4 inches because of the breakage it causes! Also my fiance doesn't love the way extensions feel, a huge consideration for you to think about. Most are in your hair for a long time too!

My compromise is a 16in filler piece for length and fullness (human hair) that my stylist will match hair color too. I just got it in and it looks like nice quality! I ebayed mine for $50 from hairworldbyjamie.

I would wait until closer to your wedding (so the extensions are newer and not grown out) Who knows your hair may be longer by then. How are you going to wear your hair?? I didn't have Jessica Simpson Clip ins but a product similar to it and it was hard to wear my hair up w/out seeing them. I would reccomend a professional putting them in on your wedding day so you don't have to stress about it! GOOD LUCK!

I used clip on extentions (but really nice ones) and they looked GREAT!  Besides the length, it really adds volume to your hair. I would just bring extra bobby pins just in case, but mine stayed in all night.

I am actually wearing the Jessica Simpson ones right now! lol So okay... First off I got the synthetic ones, NOT the real human hair ones. The synthetic piece was the 21 inch wavy piece and was around 90$ with shipping. I bought it on HSN after I saw Ken Paves on tv doing a segment about them, he made them sound and look friggin amazing, I had to have them! First the positives, they are beautiful, blend well, look real and stay in, they snap tight, they aren't goin anywhere, BUT, (huge but) You need to wash them after about 4 wears, and after you do, they look completely differnt, not as nice AT ALL, it gets a bit matted together and doesnt flow as nice at all, you definately have to buy special shampoo and leave in conditioner for synthetic hair.  So i would say, they are good for about 3-4 wears then you wash them and it is okay for a ponytail but that is about it. So, if you are okay to spend about 90 bucks to wear them for your wedding day and a couple other times, then it is worth it. Jessica Simpson does have real human hair extensions that you can style with a curling iron and product, I did not hear postive things about them on the HSN website, you could go there and read the customer reviews if you want to get a better idea. And remember with the synthetic hair you CANT use styling tools or product. But, you don't need to if you get the wavy ones, they are already curled and it holds super well. I hoe this was helpful...

I love your pics!  I always thought your hair looked AMAZING and now I know (in part) why that is!!  (But I'm jealous even of your "normal" aka gorgeous locks)

    LMAO @ mrsleopard .

Ok I've only worn clip in bangs so I'm not an expert but my Best friend has super fine hair and wanted long lovely lock for her big day. She had an up do , bought human hair clip in and dyed them to match her hair colour. you never would have know! I wish I had a photo but she looked lovely. If you are planning on doing a half up half down look it might be a good idea. You can get great deals on ebay  BTW. Good luck!!

Where did you purchase the glue in extensions? Did you do it or did you get it done at a salon! They look great!

I bought them at my stylist's beauty supply store in Westminster.

But you can buy them pretty much anywhere.  They're long wefts of hair - the package cost about $90.

She glued them in the morning of the wedding.  They lasted until I washed my hair.
