Yes, I don't mind helping to do some google searches. I love doing "research". I think it is fun. Do you have a particular style you like? I have loads of ideas on how to save money for weddings. Do you have an inspiration board yet? :)
I've been to 2 weddings in the past year out in Nassau Co. One was at the Swan Club and the other was at Fox Hollow. I liked how Fox Hollow had the hotel on the property too - I've heard you can get really great deals there too.
I was going to say the Swan Club and Fox Hollow also! I believe that both are well under your budget.
The New Hyde Park Inn is absolutely BEAUTIFUL (and the people are super friendly and fantastic to work with). I think they're a bit over your budget on a weekend, but if you're not opposed to having a Thursday night wedding then I think you're well in range. The Swan Club is pretty, Jericho Terrace is ok as well.
I recently went to a Lia Sophia (fashion jewelry) conference at the Crest Hollow Country Club. This place is gorgeous, and the food was so good!! Check it out: cresthollow.com
My BF friend is getting married there and she said she is getting 90 a plate.
I'm having my wedding at the Chateau at Coindre Hall in Huntington (it's a Lessings venue). We got a really good deal for it because we booked a little late. Our wedding is in Aug and we just sent in our deposit 1 week ago.
I love the venue, but the thing that might turn people off is that the dining area and dance area are in 2 adjoining rooms. I went to visit the place, but I don't think that will make too much of a difference!
i had a tough decision to make between swan club, foxhollow and the sands atlantic beach. my fiance and i decided on the sands atlantic beach because of the oceanfront location and the event planner they have on staff. we are so excited about our beach wedding on long island http://www.thesandsatlanticbeach.com/social-events/beach-weddings-in-long-island
we checked out crest hollow and while we went with giorgios(didnt like multiple weddings) it was quite beautiful and VERY VERY affordable

I am looking to get married in either the summer or fall of 2011. I didn't realize how difficult wedding planning can be!!! Can anyone recommend a reception hall or location in nassau county where the price per plate is less than 120? We estimate the number of guests will add up to 125-150. We are looking to keep this entire wedding under 25k, does anyone have ideas on how to save money on flowers/favors/photographers etc.???? PLEASE HELP!
