My dog had it when she was a few months old. The silly dog kept licking dew off the grass and must have caught it that way. There’s not much you can do about the yard besides pick it up. As for inside, is it at all possible to rent a steam cleaner for carpets? The grocery stores here in Canada rent them, and we used it to clean the mess. I’m sure your puppy will be feeling better soon and it sounds like you’re doing a great job of preventing it from happening again.

My dog had it when she was younger and she is perfectly fine now. I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s really common.

@SouthernGirl:  I’m pretty sure that our vet told us that it was less likely to get after she had it because her body had built up a better immunity to it. either way, I know quite a few people whose pets caught it, and none of them got it a second time. Sorry your vet made you worry just try to make sure your dog doesn’t drink from puddles in the dog park like mine tries to lol.

Not a problem! I know I was really worried when ours got sick too but everything got better fast once she started taking the medication and now I’m pretty sure she could eat anything and be fine lol. Hope your guy feels better soon!

it’s really super common in puppies, I wouldn’t stress about it too much. Just keep everything as clean as you can and keep an eye on her poops. I wouldn’t use those potty pads unless you really want to train her to go in the house long term, it can really confuse a puppy during the housebreaking process otherwise.
