My wedding is in November. It will be a rustic, not formal wedding that’s in a very rustic lodge. The wedding is going to be at 6:00 in the evening. My bridesmaid dresses are dark brown. Groomsman have dark khaki suits with white shirts and either rust orange or brown ties. The girls will have flowers in the rust or orange family. I would like for my girls to wear cute toned down gold heels, but they would not show up good with this long flowy dress. I do not prefer long dresses, just from experience being a bridesmaid. Should I get these dresses at knee length? I wanted to see everyone else’s opinion 🙂 if anyone has a photo of this dress in a knee length, that would be so helpful!!

I don’t know what the exact make and model is of the dress you have shown, but the J. Crew Taryn dress is about as close as you’re going to get and it’s on clearance in dark brown! Snatch ’em up now! 🙂 They also have a long version, the Taryn gown, although I’m not sure it comes in brown.

I definitely think you should go with a short dress. I think they are more comfortable as a BM and I think they fit better with the theme/description of your wedding than a floor length dress.
@brideatbeach: That looks like exactly what the OP is looking for. And at $90 (with every size offered appearing to still be available), that’s a steal!

If your saying Informal, I’d go shorter! Beautiful dress by the way! =)
I love Knee-Length or Shin-Length dresses personally, I have an issue w/ knees. LOL.

The J Crew dress is very similar and is available in all sizes in the espresso brown for $89.99.
I would probably go with the shorter dress for your venue but I would check on the price of the Jasmine dress.
If it was reasonably close to the price of the J Crew, you would order them long, have them hemmed knee length and use the extra fabric to make each girl a shawl.
