hmmm…is there a way to perhaps “seperate” each of the long tables into 2 or 3 and visually seperate via centerpieces running the short way. That way you have “4 – 6” tables?

Or, I imagine a seating chart would really be helpful in this scenario?

Perhaps you can label sections of the table as section A, B, C etc. within your centerpieces and then number everyone’s individual place card? So someone sits at section A seat 1? That way they know generally what section of which table they will sit and then can narrow it down to a seat number once they are there?

I am doing long tables as well and for each 8ft’er (even with them in a row) I am putting a table number.

We’re also in a barn. it’s 33×74

We are doing buffet tables for our tent wedding. It won’t be as long as yours though. Just 2 to 3 buffet tables per row. However, we are doing table numbers for each buffet table even though they will be connected.

EDIT: I drew a picture to describe how we are setting up. Since we didn’t want some guests to have to turn all the way around in their seats, we decided that we would do a sweetheart table that would be perpendicular to the rows. Each individual table will have it’s own centerpiece and table number even though they will be connected. Like so… (yes that’s the ‘bee in the background Laughing)

This is great!  I want to do long tables as well, but I’d like them to surround the dance floor.  So thekikster’s plan is awesome for me. 🙂
