What was the longest amount of time you went between docotor appointments? If you hadn’t felt the baby move yet, was it hard for you to not worry & freak out til you had the next appoint to see the baby or hear the heartbeat?
I’m going nuts this week! My last appointment was 3 weeks ago & I have 3 more weeks until the next one! I’m 15 weeks along & so too early for me to feel any movement. There are days when I will freak out & think what if I go to the next appointment & find out something happened & I didn’t know. It’s so hard for me to have faith sometimes.

I haven’t counted the time between my apts, but I think it’s normal to go a while in the beginning unless there is something wrong. I was able to feel the baby pretty early (at 14 1/2 weeks, I’m 19 weeks now). Even then, you don’t feel it every day and then you start freaking out. I think freaking out is a normal part of pregnancy! But as long as there’s no bleeding, spotting, or cramps, I just have to assume everything is ok.

Mine have been every 4 weeks. We could have gone 3 or 5 in between if it didn’t match our schedule but I’ve heard that up until your 3rd trimester you go about once per month, then you go twice a month once you’re in your 3rd trimester and once a week during the last month.
Six weeks seems like a long time, but really, at my 16week appt the doctor just checked the heartbeat with a doppler and made sure I was still feeling okay. At 18weeks (your next appt) they should do an ultrasound and if you want to find out the sex you may be able to.
I didn’t really start to feel movement till around 18-20 weeks and didn’t feel it very consistantly till recently (24-26 weeks). So I wouldn’t worry about that too much.

Mine have only been about 4 weeks apart, but it still feels like forever because I am also 15 weeks and don’t have morning sickness, don’t have a good “bump” yet, and can’t feel the baby kick. For now, I’m just trying to go along with my life as normal as possible for now!

Mine have typically been about 4 weeks apart, but at the beginning we did some additional testing so we often went 3 weeks or so instead of 4 between appointments. Now we’re into the 3rd trimester every-two-week schedule.

i’m right with you! i’m 15 weeks 4 days – last appt was 3 weeks ago and my next appt when i’ll have an ultrasound isnt for another 4 weeks. i cannot WAIT to see my munchkin on the screen and hear his/her heartbeat. it was easier for me not to worry at first because i ended up having an u/s at 8 and 12 weeks, so there wasnt as much time to wait. but now i’m scared something crazy will go wrong, i wish i could feel it kick sooner! we just have to remember that women have been having babies since the beginning of time, and at this point the risk of mc is so slim…just have faith in your body and try to focus on taking care of yourself and your baby 🙂
