Do you live near a major city or elsewhere that may have specialty lingerie boutiques? If so, the best thing to do would be to find one of those and have someone there fit you properly.  It’s extremely difficult to purchase proper fitting lingerie if you haven’t been fitted by someone who knows how to do this and if you haven’t tried on the item that you’re interested in purchasing.

Maybe see a seamstress? Having cups sewn in should be supportive enough as long as the dress fits perfectly.

If you are a size 2 there is no way you should be in a 36. Go to a good lingerie strore and get measured. You may need more of a 32 C or even 32 D. That would explain why the cups fit but the rest is too large in your longline.

Ahh ok that explains that… Maybe ask a seamstress to take in the torso of the longline? I I have a difficult time finding bras/lingerie also so I feel your pain 🙁 my grandmother has taken in the band on a few bras I ordered online that didn’t fit properly and it worked out well.
