I feel like I have spent hours over the past few weeks at Sephora and the Mac counters.
Does anyone have suggestions for longwear lipsticks that acutally work??? I dont want to have to worry about it coming off on him or eating it. I am going for a 40’s glam make up so really want a blue/red.
I am just wanting to much in a lipstick. Does this really exist. I have tried a few “lipstains” and had no luck with them staying put.
Help me bees!

I highly suggest Avon’s lipstain with a plumper over it (once it’s set)…. however my Avon lady says they no longer carry it so I’m hoarding what I have left. But maybe that’s different in your area? I also didn’t like other lip stains.

i just bought 2 long-wearing lip glosses. i don’t remember what they’re called exactly, but one is by revlon and the other by covergirl. they’re both the kind that has the color on one end and the clear gloss on the other side. they both work pretty well and last a long time, but they do have a tendency to feel kind of sticky/tacky (but maybe that had to do with the way i applied it)

I used a MAC long-wear, two stage lipstick and it was pretty fantastic. Didn’t budge from 1pm to after 2am.

I’ve used the Mac Pro Long Wear lipstick, it hung around from 10am-4pm without touch ups.
I haven’t tried Mac’s double step one. I have tried that version in drug store brands and found it started to wear off in patches over time….not a good look.
You’ll also get a longer wear out of any lipstick by filling in the whole lip with liner first, then lipstick product on top.

@cdncinnamongirl: I wear it quite a lot now and it’s usually fine as long as I avoid really fatty foods.

@SpecialSundae: Yeah, for me I think it’s because my lips are already on the dry side and that’s why it gets patchy. So sad….I love long wearing lip sticks. And Mac.
