Will ivory and different shades of green look too springy for a september wedding?

    I don't think so.

But to make it more fall-like, maybe you could add some accents of chocolate to the color scheme?

If you want color in your wedding, go for it!  Your color combo sounds beautiful.

Our wedding is in september also and has a scheme of green and brown with ivory and fall color accents.  Not everything will be green and ivory I'm sure in your wedding (flowers, centerpieces, etc.) or maybe i'm wrong and they will be, but my point is you can do small accents to subtly point it toward whatever feeling you want.  If you added light yellow and pale pink into the mix, then I think it would turn out to be spring-y, but it's really in the details that you can bring everything together to whatever feel you'd like. p.s. i don't necessarily think a color scheme belongs in any one season, it's all about what YOU want.  :)

I don't think it would, but it'll depend on which shades of green you choose. Look to nature to see which ones signal fall as opposed to the ones seen in springtime.

My wedding is labor day weekend, and my colors are the same. I am adding bright pinks/oranges/yellows as a last hurray for summer. do what ever you want, have fun with your colors!
