@fyrefox: do you have a picture of them, i'd love to see them!!
i think there are pix embedded in there somehow, but i can't view them either
@fyrefox: It took me a while to find this out, but instead of using the upload at the bottom of the page...go to the bar right above where you're typing & look for the box to the left of the "HTML" link, click on that to see if it works! It's amazing what it can do! :) Hope it works & can't wait to see!
trying to resize them - this is what i get for having a really good camera...lol
Yay! See, it worked! I use that upload form instead ALL.THE.TIME now!!! Oh & btw - it's beautiful!! Good freakin job girl!
Its so pretty if you saw it in front of you - the pics make the paint look a bit off - you dont see all the swirls much - just the way the flash hit it i guess - but it was fun! thanks ladies:-)
@fyrefox- WOW that is beautiful! I'm anxious to see your wedding pics with the cupcakes on them!
steph - I got sheets of wood and cut out the circles. routered them all, primed and painted. for the middle part is a long oak dowel. then little wooden knobs for the feet and voila! (ok - so it took me a few trial and errors to get good circles and make a sturdy design - but hey Im on mat leave and my pookie helped me cutting outside in the snow ! LOL!
How many cupcakes will one hold? I am looking for cupcake tree(s) for my wedding in October..
Wow! That is great! I love it, and it gives me a different idea on displaying our cupcakes. :) Thanks!!
That looks awesome and BTW I really like the swirls. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like things that look like they came from a factory.
THAT IS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT!! You just inspired me to try to make our own for our wedding!
Very nice! I paid about $50 for mine, and it's plastic! Nice plastic, mind you, and I'm completely pleased with it, but yours is very classy looking!
that looks so cool :)
I'm impressed!
HOW did you manage that? I wish I could ;P
Do you have any DIY instructions??!!!!! I would love to attempt one of these!!
HI fyrefox. Can you tell me how you connected the dowel to the wooden circle (screwed, glued, ???). I need to make one of these by NEXT WEEKEND!!!
Thanks for your help!

Yay for me and the lack of rental places around for those damn cupcake stands! I made 2 for my wedding, both a warm white with a gorgeous pearl topcoat that I creatively painted on to maximize the pearl glow. (nothing tacky rainbowish - just a soft muted pearl) and Im putting some fine little pearls all around the edges that I routered into the shelves too.
Im going to rent them out and maybe sell them too, now that i have to routine down pat. Lots of trial and error...but now i have study solid stands that wont smush the beautiful floral cupcakes I have planned...YAY!
