Reading my journal entries from when I was in my first couple years of high school does amuse me, there things that at the time I thought were a giant deal that now I don’t even remember happening.

But I do think it’s kinda wrong to basically say that some bees posts and rants remind you of back when you were immature, but now that you’re slightly older you realize how silly you were being. I know some people who, no matter how old they are, always look down on those five or so years younger than them and go on as if people that age are just clueless, and it kind of greates of my nerves. Yes, you go through a lot of changes in your late teens and early twenties…really, you change your whole life. And unless the bee is totally overreacting, I try to be supportive. Hell, my reaction to how big of a deal something is can change every day – not based on me being older, but based on how good or bad of a day I’m already having.

@Wonderstruck:  Ditto.

I definitely find what I did to be pretty laughable, and I feel the same way when I see similar things here, but I try not to let those thoughts color my responses.  They’ll grow up eventually.  What they need now is support.

I’m embarrassed about things I did in college! Nothing that bad, just drinking too much and dressing ridiculously and worrying about the stupidest things and dating losers!! So glad I didn’t carry on that lifestyle too long Tongue Out

I’m embarrassed by some of the things I did last week, let alone 5 or 10 years ago.

Re embarrassing things in college: I do miss how much alcohol I used to be able to consume. Now, splitting half a bottle of wine with the SO is a wild time. Speaking of which… I still have half a bottle of red I need to finish…. 🙂

I do all the time. I am only 24 (25 in October) but the time from when I was 19 to 22 was such a wild time in my life. I did a lot of things that I probably shouldn’t talk about on a public message board haha but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. I’m glad that I have a bunch of crazy stories to tell but I’m also glad that I eventually realized that it was time to grow up and get serious.

I actually just threw away my bag of stuff from my ex’s after laughing about it. Some of the people I dated were so corny! Puppy love : ) I definitely laugh about what I did from ages 16-18 especially. I’m sure I’ll look back to now and do the same thing, though. Just not with laughing at silly ex boyfriends.

You know when adulthood actually hit me?

When I was house sitting for my mom. I was looking around the kitchen for coffee stuff and I found a bunch of mini marshmellows and some irish cream. It was like 8am.  And I was just like…

Life changing I tell you.
