You could get a decent one on Blue Nile… I color, SI1, very good cut for around $5,000. Look for diamonds just under the 1 carat mark for a bit of a discount as well.

SI1 doesn’t have to be bad… you just need to figure out what kind of inclusions you’re looking at. They can be eye clean.

@RedHeadKel:  it really depends on what your budget is and what type of diamonds you like.

I got a 1.1ct E SI2 princess cut for $2700 at enchanteddiamonds.com. I thought that was pretty cheap.

@RedHeadKel:  Play w. the sliders on Blue Nile. For $3K, I’d go w. a smaller size… you’ll be going down in quality a lot.

You could also get a 1 ct cushion or oval for under $2,800. The specs are much better than mall stores and Blue Nile does amazing work!

I have found jewelery central is really cheap very similar to blue nile, a few friends of mine have purchased their e rings off this website and with the 30 day money back guarantee all had their diamonds appraised at double what they paid. Might be worth a look 🙂

Does it have to be a diamond? Have you considered moissanite, or a white sapphire maybe? If you really want a diamond just ignore me lol!
