Try the Amana Colonies - went to a wedding held in the Festhalle Barn in May of 2011 Was very nice and I know the Bride and Groom were very happy with it. I think it's mostly for receptions, but this couple held both ceremony and reception there.

@MarshekLC: If you are still looking for a barn, The Celebration Farm in Iowa City is pretty amazing! There are two to choose from, and they are only 4 miles from the I80 exit off of Hwy 1. You can check out the website at www.thecelebrationfarm.com

Looking for a rustic wedding location in the Iowa City area. My fiance and I met in Iowa City 8 years ago and currently live in Denver. It's a bit difficult doing all the planning with the distance.
We would love suggestions. We have struck out with a few locations with reception locations being booked out for 15-16 months!
