There is a really pretty place out in Wright City called Ceder Lake Farms!
no problem!! glad i could help! :) hope it works out for you :)
Have either of you ever been there or had your weddings there? If so how did they go? It is a really beautiful place.
No, I haven't. It was a place my mom found and suggested, but we ended up deciding to go the downtown route, since the boy and i are avid cardinal's fans :) and, to be honest, i am too big of a baby to plan an outdoor wedding for october! ;)
Have you looked into Villa Antonia Winery in Hillsboro, MO?
@Miss Puppy Love: I will look into that. I forgot about that winery opening! thanks!
For a budget friendly option check out Little Piney Lodge- They just added a beautiful rustic barn this past year. My husband and I got married there last year and the barn wasn't complete but should be done now. We used the pavillion area for our reception and had cocktail hour along the lake.
Good luck with your wedding!
This is probably too late...but another option could be a horse ranch. I looked into both Cedar Lake Farms and Little Piney Lodge. If you are looking a little closer into the city Rocking J Ranch hosts events and their facilities look really fun and rustic! Congrats, and good luck with everything!

Did you decide on a place? I am running into the same problem now that I started planning....Cedar Lake Farm is pretty pricey and Little Piney Lodge requires an all weekend rental for the "peak" months, which also ended up being $$$.
I'm now scrambling to find a non-hotely venue for my reception.... :\

I would love love love to have a rustic outdoor wedding with a barn reception but I live in St. Louis and there just isn't much around..unless we drive hours away and then it might as well be a destination wedding! The furthest I'm willing to go is Washington MO. I've looked into doing an outdoor wedding at a winery in the Herman/Augusta area but they all look so elegant and fancy and I'll be honest I have a dream of everyone wearing cowboy boots and I just don't think that would slide in Missouri wine country :) Any help would be appreciated. Also an official date has not been set yet so I don't need this anytime soon.
