@kristina12: I used Premium Sound DJ, from Clear Lake
They were great! They are a husband-wife team. The husband is the DJ and chose a great mix of music for us. The wife is the MC and you can give her a schedule and she will make all of your announcements and make sure that you know for example that you will be cutting the cake in 5 minutes. I didn't have to worry about anything getting done during the reception because of her- I would use them again in a minute! They are within your budget too :)
Thank you so much! Did you go with their lighting package? I don't know much about that but I may be interested... Thanks again!!
No we didn't use their lighting package. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@kristina12: I'm not sure what pricing is like these days but Rock N Robin was great at my wedding.

Hey Houston brides, I need your help!
I am looking for a relatively inexpensive DJ in the Houston area (under $1,000 preferably)! Does anyone have any suggestions?
My venue recommended a DJ that has played there before, but I have absolutely no references on him (none on his website either) and I'm uncomfortable signing a contract with no references/testimonials!
Any advice? THANK YOU!!!
