oahu. i have a meeting scheduled with Dianna on Monday. I have never heard of Gina Ornellas.
I spoke with both Dianna and Gina when I was thinking about getting married on Oahu. I got the impression Gina was a bit more pulled together then Dianna. But that was only from a 30 min phone call with each.
My sis used Diana. I did see all of the great reviews, and after seeing her in action at the wedding, I have to say that I was confused at how she could have received such glowing reviews. She was sweet, somewhat mousy (not the take control type of vendor I would have preferred personally). After the wedding, no one was necessarily unsatisfied, but no one was particularly impressed, either. Having said that, nothing really went wrong that I know of, so that's a good thing!
@marmar: i'm coming to this post late, but wanted to share my experience with Dianna so far, as she's our DOC and we met for an in person meeting here in SF a few weeks ago.
In the beginning, we did all of our correspondence via email and what i liked immediately about her was her extremely quick response time, extensive knowledge and close relationships with the hawaii vendors. When i emailed her for a list officiant recs, she reached out to all of her top contacts and asked if they were available, emailed me videos of their weddings and their rates. She did the same thing for make up artists. Oh, and this was all happening about 8 months before the wedding. Crazy.
When we met in person, i agree with @futuremrskelsey that she, in the beginning, was on the quiet side. but after about 15 minutes of talking, she quickly warmed up and, with a quick phone call, secured my florist for me {she was one of those hawaii vendors who was slooow to respond to my email inquiry}. She also had her laptop with her and she's the most insanely organized person i've ever met.
So for us, Dianna may not be the most outgoing person, but she has already exhibited the qualities that we are looking for in our DOC - ridiculously organized, resourceful, great relationships with our vendors {our hotel loves her} and keeps us on our timelines! If this is what you're looking for too, then I highly recommend her.
