I am looking for a freelance make-up artist for my wedding. I don’t a company, I want someone who works at MAC, NARS ect and has expereince doing weddings. I want fabulous make-up not anything boring. Any recommendations in Chicago would be great…i’ve looked at all the major ones and i’m not interested.

I posted pictures from my trial from a few weeks ago…sorry if you think it is boring but I don’t want to look like another person on my wedding day, I wanted to look natural and like myself.
Anyway, she traveled for years with NARS and can definitely go more dramatic if you’d like. Her name is Lilian and she owns Starlight.

From what I’ve gathered from Mac stores is that alot of those girls will freelance. Just call your closest store and tell them you want to hire someone for your wedding as a freelancer, it seems to be a common practice. Plus you can always meet her for your trial beforehand in the actual store with their products.

Hi~ I don’t know if you are still looking but I used Kim who started Beauty by brush in Aurora. She does airbrushing too (which is what I wanted) and did an awesome job~ she is on wedding wire or has a website too (I think it is beautybybrush.com) Good luck in your search!

I have a friend from high school who does makeup. She doesn’t work for MAC or NARS, but you can check out her website if you are interested.
I did not end up using her because my friend scheduled me with someone else as a gift, but her prices are reasonable and she’ll travel.

My makeup artist was amazing, just got married 1 month ago! She is the assitant manager of the MAC in Oakbrook. She will come to you and is much more reasonable than the bigger companies out there.

To get a preview of her work, there is a great close up shot of me on my photog’s blog. She also did the makeup for all my bridal party and my mother. Oh, if I only had a hair and makeup team at my beck and call…
