I have been scouring the internet for months now and I keep running into road blocks.  My father and I speak in Spanish to one another so I want to keep our song in Spanish.  We have a love hate relationship so certain songs do not work at all:

• Mi Nina Bonita
• Butterfly Kisses, spanish version

Also my sister was just married in November and my cousin in January so their songs are out of the question:

•  Mi Nina, Jose Jose
• Para Tu Amor, Juanes

Has anyone else been running into the same problem?  I'm looking for a song that's a little outside of the box.  That's not as sappy, but still reflects the love that two people can have for each and will continue to have for each other.  I do have a back up, it's 'Y Como Es El' but it's so sad.  Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, El Capataz.  I'll look into the options you provided.  My fiance is originally from the midwest and is a big Jazz fan.  We are playing Etta James' At Last.  Picking that song was very very easy.  A song for me and my dad not as easy.

My mom keeps vetoing all the songs...

I may be going for "Y como es el".  I will keep looking though and if any new suggestions come in I am definately open to it.

UPDATE: Last night, after my mom vetoed every song on the listed above ((rolls eyes)) my mom and I sat down and youtube(d) every artist that my father loves. While searching through all 100+ songs of Jose Luis Perales, I think we found THE SONG:

Shay!  My dad loved that I used a Jose Luis Perales song.  I think even if you and your dad don't have a song, try to find something that they will love and make them think of you when getting married.  Which song do you think you'll be using?
