I was hoping someone could share or dirrect me to a pattern for a shrug that I would like to make for myself. I would like it to be either long or 3/4 sleeve with no collar...pretty much just the sleeves. I'd also like it to be fitted (not baggy b/c that would make me look bulky due to my frame). I like this one I found on Etsy but I'd really pefer to save $ and make it myself. Check it out at

    Thanks for your help!

This is the same shape, with lace details on the sleeve. You'd have to figure out how to add the cables yourself: http://www.purlbee.com/evening-shrug/2008/4/23/evening-shrug-the-pattern.html

Are you on Ravelry?  If so, run a search.  And if not, register and take a look at these links on ravelry.com

I found this one for an idea on adding edging:

You might need to improvise and add the above edging to something like this:

    One other to consider:

I just did a pattern search for "cable bolero".

    Good luck!

Thank you! Those all are great, better than what I could find! Ravelry is a cool site, I'm surprised I've never heard of it, thatnks.
