    Hi!

I'm not from Chicago so I'm hoping you all can help me!  I am looking for a low-key girls' night out in Chicago.  It MUST be low-key because it's actually the night before my friend's wedding.  All of us girls are flying in from out-of-town so it's a way for us to all get together (including the bride) for a few hours to catch up and celebrate.  I'm thinking of a wine bar type of setting as it will be after the rehearsal dinner so we won't need food.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Do you have a location in mind? I've had nice, low-key nights at Webster's Wine Bar, Bin Wine Cafe, Rootstock, and Juicy (which I think is called 694 Wine now). Those places are all over the city, though.

@mole:In the River North, Gold Coast, Streeterville area -- any of your suggestions around there?

Bin 36, the sister restaurant of Bin Wine Cafe, is downtown. Eno's right on Michigan in the Intercontinental, but it's only okay.

You might want to look into some of the lounges as well like Le Bar or Gilt Bar.

I would also recommend Bin 36 for that area.

If you're willing to travel a little bit outside of downtown, Vintage 338 in Old Town is cute, and the Tasting Room in West Loop is awesome (great views of downtown).

Try Pops for Champagne or their downstairs bar, Watershed. Also, Sable (the bar connected to the Hotel Palomar).

I know it's a lounge, but Gilt Bar sounds like what you're going for.

If you can venture into the West Loop, Maude's is great. Also love Avec.
