I’m getting married September 2013 and my fiance’ and I have been looking for a rustic venue for ages now. We are looking for something thats like a barn or a field or something classified as a rustic looking place. We want a good ole southern wedding with a rustic feel. If anyone could help me out and give me some places to look at that would be fantastic. We currently reside in Columbia.

@lexameoba: How far are you willing to travel? I know of a place that’s about an 1 from columbia, but that might be too far. If not, check out The Gatherings in Dorchester, SC.

Charleston has a lot of beautiful rustic venues. Depending on how much you want to spend check out boone hall plantation, their dock house is my favorite site in all of South Carolina

I have this one bookmarked as I’m also in Columbia! This is in the NE part of SC though, up in the Blue Ridge Mountains area.

serendipity in Oak Glen is very nice, but they are pretty hard to work with. Everything must be their way. I didn’t have a good experience with them.

IDK how far it is from columbia but Leroy Springs is really nice. They have a smaller Field Trial Barn for really cheap and a larger Dairy Barn thats really nice as well. Its in Fort Mill, SC.

@Kate0558: +1… even though I know the OP is married now! The Dairy Barn is absolutely gorgeous.
