When I got married the first time (ha ha) I used a string quartet I found in the music dept. at CSUN. So, contact UCSB or a community college in SB or Ventura and see if you can find someone to play your wedding. They were SO reasonable in price. And really good too. I made them play a song by the Smiths for my processional :)
That's a great idea. I'm looking for a harpist and couple of quotes I got were very expensive.
Check out The Women of Note String Ensemble. Based in Ventura and very reasonable. http://ojaimusicservice.com/stringquartet.aspx
Check out Jason Sulkin who is an awesome guitarist who also has a string trio and string quartet in the Santa Barbara and Ventura areas. He does both contemporary (Beatles, U2, Jason Mraz) and classical styles. Amazing talent and very reasonably priced. http://www.jasonsulkin.com/santa-barbara-wedding-guitarist-musicians/index.html Good luck!

Hi -- I am getting married next March and am looking for a String Quartet to play at my outdoor wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I was planning on having the DJ play music but recently found out I can't have amplified music, though I can have live musicians.
Does anyone have any contact information or recommendations for a string quartet or trio in Santa Barbara who can play pop music (think Beatles, Beach Boys etc)?
Thank you all!
