french romance, mary antonnaitte (dont know how to spell that), english garden. but i will go with the french romance
*** love your dress
I think your idea for a My Fair Lady theme is really cute and would work so well with your dress!!! I also planned my theme around my dress. :P But to be fair, a lot of the adjectives that apply to the dress could also be applied to my day-to-day style, so it worked.
Were you thinking My Fair Lady a la this: http://www.karen.jendrzejek.com/my_fair_lady.jpg ?
thanks to both of you! btw...we plan on having an outdoor wedding so any ideas that incorporate that would be very well appreciated!!
veganglam: yes! i love the idea of this yet i would like to make it a little more subtle than that hat! But I'm not too sure how to request my guests to dress the part...any ideas?
I can see an english garden wedding theme with a french twist. A bit of vintage flair too.
Wow - I totally almost bought that dress, or one very similar! We're having a "vintage nature" wedding, and I loved the flower lace detail on the dress for that reason.
I can see some fabulous pictures of that dress with some cute umbrellas being held! :)
Parasols for pictures with the bridesmaids would be perfect!
English Garden party, watch the ending scene of the Movie "A Midsummer Nights dream" The Lawn party that the duke throws would be a nice inspiration.
English Garden party for sure. You can have Pimms for your signature drink. You can serve cucmber sandwiches and scones!

This is my dress... I know that I probably should have figured out a theme before i bought my dress but i found a really awesome deal on it & just couldn't pass it up. I would love to do a vintage themed wedding but I'm not sure what theme to go with... any suggestions? I'd love to do a sort of "My Fair Lady" theme. Will my dress work well with that? & I think my guys are going to do the ascot. I want to have my guests dress the part also. Thank you!!
