@Idling:  Wow, what a stunner!

@keazfl:  When I was reading your list of what you wanted in a dress, I couldn’t help but think of mine. Now I’d say it’s more trumpet than mermaid, and it’s organza rather than tulle. So it may not be right at all. BUT it is very fitted at the top down to about the upper thigh, so it still gives you a great figure like a mermaid. And it has lots of ruffles, and a big train. It has no bling and no lace. So I wondered whether you would still like it even though it doesn’t seem to fit your description!

Madeline Gardner “Melania”

I’ve also seen a few brides post a Mori Lee mermaid similar to what you’re describing but I can’t find it on the website just now.

At first I was in love with Vera Wang’s dress from the White collection (and it was on sale at 678$ on David’s Bridal, but I hesitated too much and by the time I decided to buy it, my size was gone (in Canada), and they would not ship from the US).

I ended up buying a purple dress for reception that had similar features (but lighter, and no train, because I didn’t want one). I know it’s not 100% the same but to me it looked similar enough that I consider it to be my ”purple dream wedding dress” :

Dress (designer Alyce Paris, model Danica) is also available in ”bridal” version, I found this over a Toronto Bridal shop :

But for whatever reason the ruffles are organza instead of tulle, and the dress is twice as expensive because it’s ”bridal”.

@keazfl:  I don’t know if mine fits the bill cause it has some bling but it fits all the other features you like 😉 it’s MGNY 38016.
