We are doing a “Field Guide” – it’ll be 12 or 16 pages, 4.5×5.5. We’re going to have some games in there, as well as information about the venue and lawn games available, the menu, nearby wineries with a map, and then the normal program-y things.

I am considering doing a newspaper program with articles, columns, and advertisements with wedding info. our nuptials will be the headline, a love advice column from the flower girls, an advertisement for the kids table, a comic strip, wedding word puzzle, maybe some silly wedding related horoscopes…

i am still brainstorming this idea 🙂 but this is what I had in mind

Toronto2014:  We had a layered program and included bride and groom trivia questions in the back of the program (how we met, our favorite shows, etc)

Toronto2014:  Yes all of the answers were printed upside-down on the last page (I used inDesign to make them).

Toronto2014:  You could do a smaller version that you could print at home on an 8.5″ x 11″ paper folded in half, thats less space to fill. You could print your menu, a thank you from the bride and groom, abou the maids/men, your engagment story, trivia, this day in history, and make good use of your engagment pics.

I also found this blog bost on the bee: http://www.weddingbee.com/2012/09/25/diy-newspaper-wedding-programs/#axzz337JfUkl4
