I am looking for some curtains to coordinate with my sectional. Okay, the walls is a almond/sand color and the triming are white. The photo below is our exact sectional the background is just not ours. I know we have netural colors and Im trying to break some color in somewhere without having to buy new funiture.. I wanted to add throws but since the pillows that came with the sectional are removable I really dont know. I would like this to look great, but neither tacky..Oh if this matters we do live a rental townhouse and the owner has tan carpet in the living room. We have no lamps/ lamp tables because we have a spotlight chandlier. Also I do have the black otoman pictured below.
Please HELP, Im going crazy…

Have you thought about what color you want to bring in?
STart with the curtains, something patterned to bring texture, depth and color to the room. Then once you have the color, you can swap out a picture that has it in it, maybe a small area rug or glass vase/pottery on a side table.
Maybe this in blue? and then bring in a brighter version in your accent pieces.

I think if you pulled in some blues it might be pretty. Do you have any artwork you could pull a shade from? Or like the PP said, once you decide on a color get some accents to tie it all together.
As a side note- I had great luck with our window treatments from JC Penny, if you have one closeby they usually have a section with lots of samples– maybe just go and walk around see if you can find a pattern you like, and go from there?
