Hello ladies! My SO and I are discussing engagement, and we are on a budget. I was getting very frustrated looking at diamond rings, because I couldn’t find the style I wanted, the price was so high, and it’s hard to trust which (if any) diamonds are conflict-free.
I found this lovely, delicate, small ring I LOVE, seen here: http://www.helzberg.com/product/5-8ct+tw+diamond+engagement+ring+1767068.do?sortby=ourPicks
It is so dainty and brilliant, I put it on and was completely enamoured! However, it is more than double our ring budget. Also, real diamonds.
I also really like this wedding band http://www.helzberg.com/product/diamond+eternity+ring+1903864.do?sortby=bestSellers&page=2
But I have yet to find a moissanite option that has stones all the way around.
Has anyone else discovered rings similar to this with moissanite stones in it? These rings are so ethreal, and the ones I’ve seen online so far seem heavier looking. I have short fingers and small hands, so I want something brilliant and sparkly, but small and delicate.
Any help would be so appreciated! Thanks to everyone whose shared pictures of your rings – they are SO helpful!!

@rollerskates: I am partial to moissaniteco.com. They have a moissanite version of the wedding band you like, and their petite halos are very dainty, especially if you have a smaller center stone. I think the petite halos only come with round brilliant or cushion cuts, but I’m not sure. I love cushion cut halos.
They have videos of most of their rings, so you’ll get a decent idea of what’s heavy and what’s not. You can also search the boards for “petite halos”, I know a bunch of bees have them.

@rollerskates: Another idea that helped me when I was ring shopping, the folks at moissaniteco.com sent me wax replicas of a couple of the rings I was thinking about, that way I was able to try them on and make sure I liked what I was purchasing, it helped a great deal! It cost $15 per mold but it was worth it.
Geez, I sound like an mco spokesperson but I really just had a good experience purchasing from them.

I also had a really good experience with Moissaniteco. You can also always ask if they can accomodate specific requests (smaller stones, etc), since they’re often able to do more than they list online.

Thanks for the tips! I have done a lot more research on their site and have found several I really like. I love the possibility of getting a wax replica to make sure it works. Once he gives me the ring, I never want to take it off! 🙂

@tizlet: How do you order wax replicas from the company? I can’t decide between two rings and think that would really help. Thanks!

@FutureMrsLawlis: I will repost this from the other thread in case it can help someone else out. Just email [email protected] with the model numbers and they can send you a link to order the wax versions.

Moissaniteco now offers petite rings…like 1.5 millimeter bands. go to the website and type in a”petite ” with the search box.
