I’m not up on my veil lingo so I’m not sure what a drop veil is, but when I think of dramatic veils, I think of Katharine McPhee’s veil (google it). I think it would go great with a simpler gown, because it is kindof simple itself, but that is what makes it so dramatic! I totally love it and I may go for this look myself. I’m going to make my own veil. I can’t justify spending hundreds of dollars on a piece of netting. I don’t care how long it takes me to hand sew on all of the lace on the edge, but I refuse to buy it.

I found this on the ‘bee a while ago. I’m going to make my own version of it. Rhinestones are pretty cheap as is tulle, and that may be your best option. With the cost of a tool, my elbow length drop veil with bling on the edges (like the picture, though not nearly as much) will probably run me about $70. You can save so much by making the veil yourself.

I absolutely love the veil that ShirleyTemplar posted, but I am probably going to go with one from Julius Bridal.

I was going to post the link here, but apparently it is now listed as an attack site by Google. Maybe once they get it fixed up you can look. Their veils are gorgeous.
