Ooh awesome! Are you thinking you’ll stay in the US the whole time? That’s a great time to visit Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Seattle / San Juan Islands, Rocky Mountain National Park, etc. Anywhere in the southern half of the country is gonna be way hot (except for S California, that’s usually nice year round).

@Shonzilla:  I haven’t spend much time in Canada, but it’d be nice that time of year.  As for stuff in the southern US, it’s definitely NOT the time to see the Grand Canyon, New Orleans, Las Vegas, etc etc.  It’s totally miserable that time of year.  Vegas highs are above 100F in July (so like 40C, YUCK), and the Grand Canyon highs are in the mid to high 80s (so 30C).  The southeastern part of the country is hot and also suuuuuper humid.  So that’s why I’d say stick to the northern half.  I mean, obviously people live in the south year round, etc – but it’s just not fun to be out exploring all day in that weather.

It’d be fun to explore the western US/Canada for maybe 3 – 3.5 weeks and then fly to New York for a few days!
