Hey there. I found mine on www.saveoncrafts.com -they were super cheap, look fantastic and the shipping was reasonable.
I ordered my apothecary jars for saveoncrafts, and paid $60 for the jars and $47 shipping. And when I got the jars, they were WAY smaller than I had hoped for. Point being, I'm hella scared of what shipping is going to be.
As for bloomsandbranches, they are the cheapest I have found so far, yet we were still hoping to get something a tad cheaper. They are charging me $139 for 18 18"-24" brances, and $152 for shipping. Shipping is even more than the darn branches!
Thank you for the help ladies! And perhaps I will check out the shipping from saveoncrafts, since they do let you preview shipping before you actually purchase...
We ordered our manzanita's from bloom & branches. But, we ended up sending the original box to my sisters house in Los Angeles. She the split up the branches into 2 smaller boxes and she mailed in to us via USPS Parcel Post. You have to check the restrictions on the box dimensions. If its too long the price will get really high. We ordered the 30" branches so you should be safe if you go that route. We ended up only paying $20 per box for shipping.
Let us know if you got any questions... We are glad to try and help you out.
Skully, How many branches did you order and what were their sizes?
You just gave me a glimmer of hope! Thank you!!
I have seen some at our local grocery store! Pound the pavement, you never know where you might find them.
Did you check floradec yet? I went there a few weeks ago and had lots of new stuff that I haven't seen before. Maybe they have some.
I bought all my containers and apothecary jars for my candy buffet at Ross. The most I paid for an apothecary jar was $10.99.
I checkd FloraDec, they don't have the kinda branches I need =(
OMG, I'm such a tard. I didn't even think to check at Ross!! I paid an arm and a leg for my apothecary jars!! I ordered them online from save-on-crafts and they were WAY smaller than we had hoped, and we ended up paying $107 total, with the glasses themselves costing only $60 (for 9) and we payed $40 for shipping. Really sad I tell you. If you're interested, lemme know if you want to boy one of our sets.
I also found a jar for $3 at Ben Franklin, it was marked at $7, then when it rang up, it was only $3! Which Ross did you go to?
We ordered the case of 12
That is the link to the exact one we ordered. It was kind of a pain for my sister to repack them, but it saved us over $100.
If you need apothecary jars, you have to check out Ross. You can get a set of 3 for under $30. The set includes a small, med & large one. They also have a lot of loose pieces for under $15.
The Ross at Pearl Highlands, Pearl Ridge Mall and the one in Kaneohe have all had apothecary jars and clear glass containers. My glass containers were only $4.99 each at Ross.
I got mine from Michael's. Not sure if you have one near you. Good luck!
I will have to check out Ross some time this week!
Scusie: Unfortunately, we don't have a Michael's here. My cousin on the mainland always tells me about her good finds while she's up there. I'm so jealous.
As for apothecary jars, I made the mistake of ordering 3 of the set of 3 jars from save-on-crafts.com for $20, and when they came I was SO dissapointed. They were so small, and we didn't want to bother with trying to ship them back. I paid about $110 for small apothecary jars. I'm just going to have to do as Tim Gunn says and, "Make it work!"

Does anyone know where I can find manzanita branches locally? If they are on Oahu, that would be perfect, but if they're outer island, I would be willing to fly over or pay for the shipping.
OR.. does anyone know of an online retailer that won't charge me an arm and a leg for shipping?
