Our wedding is next month, so I can't vouch yet for how everything will turn out...but I will be happy to report back, if you are still looking for some of these vendors at that point :)
We are getting our cake from Whipt Cream in Chesterfield. So far, our experience with them has been wonderful. Their stuff is delicious and looks great! They have been super easy to work with. This actually wasn't at the top of my list of things I was super excited about getting...just another check to complete, more money to spend etc....but since our tasting, I can't wait to see how it all turns out...I'm actually finding myself hoping lots of our guests won't eat any cake, so we will have lots of leftovers! :) We had 4 cupcakes leftover from our tasting and they were still amazing 4 days later :)
We are checking into St Louis Transportation for the limo/bus service. They seem to be the most reasonably priced, but we have yet to see if the quality of their fleet is up to par.
We had our invitations addressed by Jessica with Penned and Pretty. They look amazing and she was super sweet!
We are doing caramel apples for our favours, so I doubt that would be helpful to your summer wedding.
I am getting my bridesmaids necklaces and clutches from Etsy, and possibly a pashmina from Target.
I love your colour scheme, btw...if we were getting married in the spring or summer, that would definitely be my choice!
We aren't getting married in St. Louis because his family complains about traveling the 1.5-2 hour trip to Indianapolis. BUT I wanted to so badly! We got engaged there and take short vacations there all the time, it's very special to us. I wanted to get married at the Butterfly House or the Bot. Garden. They use the same caterering company.
By the way, I love your colors and vendor choices.
So far the only experience I have with a St. Louis vendor is the bakery. We are going to use McArther's Bakery in South County. I used them for my 2 tiered graduation cake and we also used them for our engagement party cake. Both times the cake looked and tasted AMAZING!!
Here is a bad picture of our engagement party cake.
I'm getting married in November and we are using the Cakery Bakery in Dogtown. Also, I went with necklaces from ETSY and Pashminas from Target too! I hope they're a hit. My sister (who is also my MOH) loves them so I'm sure the other girls will too!
Hello! We are getting married in Maryville, IL - right across the river.
Cake - Patty Cakes in Highland IL ( will travel and has been on food network numerous times)
DJ - TKO
Dress - You know the "Best Bridal Prices" that pops up everytime you google a dress?? That place is actually headquartered in Godfrey, IL -- right near Alton, IL. THat is where my dress is from
Flowers - Definitely hitting up Soulard market and making my own! :)
Photographer - Jodi Schlosser -- AMAZING stuff. getting engagement pics this weekend - will post pics soon.
Invitations -- If you order Carlson Craft brand invitations -- make sure to get a quote on what you want through BFM graphics ( 636-561-5600) they give a better discount than bridal shops
So far we've booked:
Reception site: Moolah Ballroom (Creve Couer)
DJ: TKO (I've heard them play at another wedding, and I really liked them)
Cake: We are either going with Whipt Cream in Chesterfield, or Wedding Wonderland in Florissant... a nice thing about WW is that you can have each tier be a different flavor at no charge, and a filling for each tier for only $9. We do a lot of our cakes for special occasions through there!
As for photographers: Am praying that Mirage Photo a) is still open for our date-- called them fri but havent heard back yet, and b) that they will work with our budget as much as I've heard other brides say they do! If not, will probably go with Trotter Photo
Wedding Cake: Getting our dream cake from Wedding Wonderland! They are referred by Charm City Cakes from "Ace of Cakes" on the food network! Such amazing cake!
As for registries, we went to Crate and Barrel in Brentwood! Gorgeous store! but you can't go wrong with Target, or BB&B
@M.Ruder: If you are looking for a non religious ceremony, I know a great justice of the peace. She is affordable too.
Even though this post is old, I may as well contribute my list of vendors for future STL brides.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Just wanted to share my wedding blog, I'd love to hear opinions on my vendors and style choices! I'm 24, I guess I'm on the younger end of the bride spectrum because I am the first of my friends to get married. So, I don't know anyone else who has experience with these things to give me advice! I'd also like to see if there are other brides in St. Louis that can give me reviews/ recommendations for vendors around town- The St. Louis weddingbee boards are pretty quiet!
Specifically, I am still looking for:
-Cake Baker
-Transportation/ Limosines
-Ceremony/Church Musicians
-Invitations/ Stationier
-The best store for gift registries
-Favors and Bridesmaid Gifts
-Anything honeymoon related (haven't even started on that yet!)
I have already signed up for the following: Reception site, Ceremony site, Photographer, Caterer, men's formalwear, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, and DJ.
Here is my blog for anyone interested: http://mystlouisweddingblog.blogspot.com/
Thanks everyone!
