The Henn Mansion in Euclid comes to mind--not sure what the restrictions are but it sits right on Lake Erie. Anything else I can think of probaby requires you to use their caterer--Baricelli Inn, Hillbrook Club, Shoreby Club, Mooreland Mansion at Lakeland, Glidden House. However, depending on your head count, these are all great options if you can work with their restrictions.
There's the Nicholson House in Lakewood (http://www.lkwdpl.org/histsoc/nicholson.htm)
That's the first (and only for the moment) one that comes to mind.
How many people are you looking at having?
Look into the Lakeshore Georgian Manor....it's on the lake in Bratenahl and AMAZING...I heard that the owner sold it so I'm not sure if it's available for events yet but could be worth taking a look!

Hello all! I live in the Columbus, Ohio area and am planning to elope in a small ceremony and come back to Ohio for a party. We are thinking of throwing the party in Northern Ohio since our families are from there or in Columbus. My fiance works in the service industry and can get chefs, liquor, tables, food, etc. all at a cheap cost for our reception. However, I've had some trouble finding a place where I can just rent out a space (like a private home or mansion) where we can bring in everything ourselves. It seems that every place wants you to use their caterer or their batender. Any suggestions on great locations that might meet our needs and clues to how much it might cost?
