What about Danversport Yacht Club? I don't know the North Shore that well.
I had the same problem as you but I am only having 30 people! I found out when calling places I had to ask about 'intimate weddings' b/c anything under 100 people is intimate.
The W Hotel in Boston is gorgeous and it can't accomodate over 100 so check there. We were going to do ours there on 12/31/11 but our guest list grew too big :(
Have you contacted these places, or just gone off the information on their websites? Try calling around, they might have some sort of "deal" for fewer than 100 guests. At my venue (Wachusett Village Inn, not exactly North Shore), there's an extra charge for my small guest list, but I was able to basically negate that by having it on a Friday (10% off).
We had our 90 person wedding at The Lyceum in Salem MA. They hold private functions on the 2nd floor. We LOVED it there! And the rates were really reasonalbe! Just a note, they recently changed owners so I'm not sure how it works there anymore, but its definately a great reception venue for a small(ish) wedding. http://43church.com/

Hi everyone! I so need your help! I have been starting my internet research to try to compile a list of places for us to look at. I'm becoming frustrated because most places say they have a 100 person minimum and we want to have a small wedding and try to keep our budget as small as possible. So if you have any ideas or suggestions of places we could have a reception --- or ceremony/reception site would be fine too --- that would allow us to have a small wedding 60-80 people, please let me know.
