We found our AMAZZZZZZZZZZZING wedding photographer right here on Wedding Bee. Ashley Colhouer! She is new to South Florida and her and her hubby do some incredible work and are running a special right now. Check out her blog: www.1313blog.com. We had my father shot ours in downtown Miami with a black and white pro old camera & put together our save the dates at Walmart & they look amazing - eventually ill get to posting all my DIY's and pics so far. :) Here's a sneak peek of one of the pictures we took but didnt make the STD cut since its rather intimate (he he) & psuedo reveal of Mr. Gamer ( Im not changing my name, so like others reason - he shouldnt be Mr. Guava-tini, lol - but gamer suits him well) LOL!

Yours are GORGEOUS too!! Ours were shot in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Unfortuantely, we had already sent out Save the Dates out when we did our shoot with her. A friend of ours took a zillion pix of us on Hallandale Beach (where we got engaged) and we use one of the photos he took. Am sure Ashley will get back to you and work with you with your budget...she's incredible! Please let me know what happens...
We did our STD at's Walgreens and added a magnet strip from Michael's to make it a DIY magnetic STD! Everyone LOVED them!

I was getting prices between $3500 - $4500 with all kind of albums and so forth. All I really wanted was the sessions and DVD with full copyright priviledges. So, I did something that made me very nervous but I was desperate. I posted an ad on Craigslist. It was simple stating our date and area and that we were looking for an up and coming photographer to shoot our wedding at reasonable prices. I think I capped the max at $1800. I have gotten great feedback! I have found a few I like their portofolios already and none of then have been over $2000 for wedding, engagement, bridal and even some of them rehearsal dinner. Try it! But, just know you will get inundated with emails. I have received at least 30!

Deb - Love your STD - It's amazing what stores can do now a days. The photographer is booked for our wedding day - but recommended I post on classifieds - hopefully I get a response.

Miss Hot Sauce - I just posted in classifieds - but I will try to craigslist route - we are looking for something super simple and really in our low budget of $500-$700 - I know its low but its all we can put aside for it right now - it's not easy being a $10K budget bride - but I am determined to do it.

@ Ms. Guava-Tini - I hear ya. We are pretty much paying for our photography too. I have gotten some quotes for low packages as well. What I thought was neat is that some of them will throw in a free engagement session to get the feel of the couple. Just try it, I think you will be very excited at what you find out! 
Little update ladies - I found a photographer ( YES, ON CRAIGSLIST!) for $75 an hour. Its a young women who has experience & I am meeting with her next week. Hopefully, it all works out. Check out her work - what do you guys think? Im happy with it!
I think she has a modern edge to her photos, which is really what I am looking for since i am sort of an anti-bride and not a big fan of some of the stiff pictures that many old-school photographers take here in Miami - at least within my budget range - which was about $700.

Hey ladies Im still looking for a photography. Unfortunately, I cancelled my meeting with one in hopes of meeting with the other and that one got booked by another couple or so the photographer states.

Thanks so much for this post! I had my heart set on a photographer but when I contacted them it was double my budget. I'm trying to stay around $2,000 for photography and after reading this post I fell in love with 13:13. I contacted them and the quote they gave me is perfect!

Hey everyone! I know some other bees talked about Ashley Colhouer. But I had to say again.. man is she great! We hired her for our May 8, 2010 wedding and we're so excited! We're about to shoot our engagement pics this weekend and we're just so thrilled. She has been so professional and friendly so far and honestly I can't believe she is so affordable. If anyone else is looking for a photographer please take everyone's advice and check her out. So far, out of all of our vendors (not including my fabulous wedding planner, Lauren Daversa .. she is also spectacular and amazing!) we are most excited about working with Ashley! :)

Hi! We are stuck on sticking to our budget & our looking for an affordable yet reliable and professional photographer in the South Florida area for our October wedding.
