    HI bees!

I had strated to research early so my fiance and I will have an idea of how much money to save for our wedding. We found a website called The Pros online they have photographers, videoographers and Djs. The site looks legit and I think the prices seem reasonable? I little high maybe but they are supposed to be highly recomended according to their site. Im Just trying to see if any of you have used the pros at your wedding? and what did you think of the quality of their services? Any help would be great! thank you!

@nicoleloren1228:  Reviews for the pros are very varied because they subcontract out with different photogs, djs and videographers. You can get a good one or you can get a crappy one. Also, if you have a good one and something happens, the Pros is (I believe) free to replace your person with someone else who may not be as good.

You should probably read this thread:

You take a huge risk when contracting with a company like "The Pros" because you don't know what you are going to get and they don't care if you are unhappy. you could get someone awesome for a great pric or someone who just picked up a camera for the first time last week. IMHO, it's much better to hunt for an independent vendor and cntract directly with them. At least you'll know what you are getting into and you can hold someone directly responsible if they screw up.

3 words: Don't do it! They won't even let you talk to your vendor until just a couple of weeks before your wedding, so if you don't like who you get, you have zero time to find someone new. My father hired them (without telling me- long story) for photography, and the sample work I got was just terrible. The lighting was all off, it looked weird and wasn't at all what I had seen from other photographers. Also, like someone else mentioned, they can change your vendor without notice so that, even if you were lucky enough to get someone good, you may end up with someone totally different.

We didn't want to lose our deposit, so we switched it over to a DJ instead, and luckily they had a freelance DJ that sometimes took clients from The Pros who was experienced and well-known in the area, so we went with him and he was great. But the company didn't give him my contact information until 2 DAYS before my wedding, so I was frantic thinking that we might not even have music. And you're not given any contact information for the vendor, so you have to wait on the company. It's terrible and completely nerve-wracking.

I looked into it and unfortunately gave them my email address so I could look at the prices. Man, do they email me every.single.day. I asked them to stop and they still do it. It's annoying. I came on here and gratefully read that most bees did not have good luck with them so I stayed away and hired my photographer and videographer myself. Good luck with your search!

I came across that website too and I couldn't figure out what was off about them.  Now I get it.  They contract out.  Thanks Bees!

We went to one of their shows while vendor shopping. They had about 6 photogs, 6 dj's and 3 videographers. The photogs had their work on display, and one of them looked pretty good but didn't seem to eager to work with us, so we didn't have the best feeling. Than the DJ's put on a show, one of the guys seemed to be pretty good as well. After the show we talked to him and holy cow, that man was gone! I would have loved to tell him to lay off the drugs but I was more eager to get out of there!

WOW. Let me tell you i am so glad that i decided post and ask about them! I thought something was off about the site when i put diff information in a couple times and they kept saying i had the same consultant even if it was a completly dif area! It makes me nervous they charge that amount of money and you dont get to interact with the actual people that will be taking pictures/ playing music at your wedding, and that you have no control over getting stuck with a bad one. I def wont be looking into them anymore im hoping i can find an independent vendor like was suggested and hopefully it will even be cheaper! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

DO NOT GO WITH THEM! I booked them a year in advance. Within 2 weeks of me signing my contract and putting down the deposit they informed me that my photographer was no longer available and sent me work of similar photographers for me to choose from. That really wasn't that big of a deal so I picked a new guy and moved on. Fast forward to last month, 3 months before my wedding, and I informed my videographer is no longer available and they just tell me who they are replacing him with - I guess my opinion didn't matter. I was ok with it though, but started to get a litte worried. Then, last week I get an e-mail that my DJ is no longer with the company. The DJ was the "deal sealer" and the main reason I went with the company. I am currently in an e-mail war with them over everything. I would love to be able to get out of my contract and get my deposit back but what great quality photograhers, videographers, and DJs are going to be available 2 months before a June wedding?
