I stumbled across this blog the other day http://www.stylemepretty.com/2012/05/21/bryan-wedding-at-the-astin-mansion-by-half-orange-photography/ and totally fell in love with that gown. It’s the San Patrick Camerun from the 2011 collection, and I found out yesterday that it’s been discontinued.
I tracked down a sample size 12 at a bridal shop in Virginia, but I’m a bridal size 6, so that’s three sizes too big. I know the standard rule is two sizes down or one up, so I’m concerned about getting it, especially with the sweetheart neckline, since it would be hard to move the darts and get it to center properly on my chest.
I did find this listing, too http://www.oncewed.com/49913/used-wedding-dresses/size-8/san-patrick-camerun/, but it’s expired. It kills me because that’s a size 8! It would be perfect! I did email Emily, who runs Once Wed, to see if she might be able to connect me with the bride who placed that listing, but I haven’t heard anything yet. It’s been about two days.
I have begun to call it my Holy Grail dress! If you happen to have worn it (in size 10 or smaller) and would be willing to sell it, please let me know! A smaller sample size would be great, too, but it seems that San Patrick likes to send size 12 for most of their samples, so I’m not holding my breath on that.
Thanks for your help!
