It would only cost you a few bucks to have that embroidered professionally. You COULD stitch it by hand but you'd want a really really fine needle and you'd risk snagging.
I actually tried to take this to one of the embroiderMe stores that we have locally...but they were trying to tell me they would need to create a template for it so the set up fee would be $50 and then $2 per word for another $14...while I would love to have this done I just can't bring myself to pay $60+ for it... :(
Check your local Craigslist - you could even put an ad up looking for someone to embroider it for you in the Wanted section.
Just make sure they know just how much it means to you!
I used to live in Dallas! Have you hear of Make? Its a crafting and sewing boutique that offers classes. They might have a class or could direct you to someone that could do this for you. Their website is www.themakesite.com They are in uptown (or at least they were three years ago). P.S. Their classes are awesome. I took three sewing classes from them that were so fun!

I wanted to see if anyone happens to know or have the ability to embroider? I have piece of ribbon which has sentimental value that I will be wearing under my dress for my wedding. I am looking to have "I-Nov 7, 2003" and "MHR Nov 9, 2009" embroidered on it....
I am thinking of attempting to do this by hand and just stitch it in but am afraid that it won't work. Does anyone have any ideas??
