Would you consider northern New Jersey? If so there are alot more affordable options.
most places I looked at charged a PP fee if you had the reception there. there are plenty of reasonable options - can you be more specific on # ppl, cost pp you are lookign at?
I have listed information on my blog about MANY Manhattan venues I have visited. In my later postings, I have included more information about $$. That is just because I was overwhelmed with getting information up at the beginning when my fiance and I saw a lot more places in a shorter amount of time. Please scroll through the postings going back to the beginning to get a sense of what is out there. Good luck! I know I need it too, as my search continues...

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Any suggestions? We want to save our budget for food and music. Of course we are seeking a beautiful setting, but we are racking our brains trying to figure out how to do so on the cheap. The fact that our date is November and thus not as condusive to outdoor venues does not help. We heard that the Goethe-Institut in NYC had a nice room for $2K but no longer does weddings. However, this is the sort of price/venue we had in mind.
Thanks,
Michael
