I think that ring is beautiful and not too big at all! You said it was a guy that said it was huge? I think guys are just clueless because my cousin always tells me mine is too big and I only have a .75 center stone =P Don’t let people make you feel self conscious of your ring!!

First of all, congrats on the engagement!

I have noticed that rings photograph much larger than they appear in person.  It’s like the camera adds a carat to the stone!  And just looking at your picture, I would have guessed your center stone is bigger than 1.4ct.

With anything, your eye gets used to looking at something over time and it won’t look so big.

You have to ignore the snarky comments.  There’s really nothing you can do about them except just say how much you love your ring (which is beautiful BTW!)

I was given a family 1.5ct diamond and at first I thought it was huge.  Now it just looks normal sized πŸ™‚  You do get used to it.

First of all, congrats!  And welcome to the Bee!  You’re going to love it here….

Second, forget about him.  Guys don’t think about stuff.  People are always going to think things, it’s too big, it’s too small, they don’t like the halo, they prefer yellow gold… because everyone has their own preference.  All that matters is that you love it.  And it’s gorgeous, by the way!  Congrats again!

He might’ve meant that as a compliment, too! It’s gorgeous, but it’s definitely not delicate, lol :). I’m guessing he thinks that bigger = better, so he wanted to compliment its size. You should totally feel great about your ring, it’s so pretty!

There is always going to be that one person that makes an inappropriate comment.  Just enjoy your gorgeous ring and this wonderful time and don’t give anyone else another thought. πŸ™‚

Your ring is perfect.  It’s easy for us to misinterpret comments people make.  It was probably his awkward attempt at a compliment.

It’s very pretty, and the size works well with your hand. And it does take a little while to get used to the bling! πŸ™‚
