Does anyone have pics either from their trial, wedding day, or inspiration pics of updo’s with a veil that they could share? I’ve had the hardest time finding the perfect style. I’m looking for something low to medium on the back of the head so I can wear my veil over it, kind of like this pic:
I’m just not sure because it almost seems to boring, and maybe a bit too sleek. I have a round face so I’m thinking I may need for volume or face framing pieces, but at the same time don’t want a bunch of hair in my face.
Sorry for the rambling…any pics or ideas on if this updo would work would be greatly appreciated!

Also a pic of my dress (still huge-im holding it up in the front lol) and veil if that helps 🙂

Commenting to follow! I also have a round face so I want some face framing pieces. I’ve found some up-dos I love but I don’t think they will look very good with a veil. I’m almost ready to just give up on wearing a veil.

@kittylove13: I would stay away from low, pulled-back hairstyles (since it just emphasizes the roundness). I think softening the updo a bit with some tendrils will help balance out the width of your face. Or if you want no hair in your face, then try mid-updos with height added to balance out the width.
Here is some veil inspiration:

@MlleFabuleux: Thanks for the advice! I’ve heard a lot that pulled back hairstyles are usually not good for a round face. I will continue to look for more mid height updos with volume.

@kittylove13: You’re welcome. 🙂 I have round, baby cheeks. So. I have learned not to do this style without some tendrils/fringe in my face because it just makes my face look squat (esp. when I smile).

@kittylove13: Here was my wedding hair! The braid ran from one ear to the other. My hair piece sat right behind the braid and my veil sat right behind the hair piece. Hope this helps!
