OMG Office themed invitations?? Got to hide that from the fiance ....
Maybe you could print the invitation on a flower shaped card? Put the main invite info in the middle, and then directions, response, and other stuff (drawing a blank at the moment) on each petal? That'd be cute!
That's a great opportunity to use plantable paper!

Or maybe antique-style botanical drawings with scripty handwriting?

It's pretty easy to find books of these sort of illustrations at used bookstores (often without a lot of text around them, so you could add your own).
There's some great used bookstores here in town.. I will have to go check them out!
I love MissSauce idea to use plantable paper.
You could present the invitation like the information printed on the back of flower tags (you know the one you plant next to the flower to remember when to water it, where to put it, etc)
"origin"
"sun/water requirements"
"growth"
"flower"
"folliage"
You can use those titles and then put under something that fits the information you're looking for , or just use the form and play with the words.

I'm planning to DIY my wedding invitations, and I want something fun, cute, and out of the ordinary. The ceremony and reception are going to be at a local botanical garden, so I'd like to have something flower or garden themed as well. Here's the sort of thing I am looking at..
cooking recipe cards: http://www.chewingthecud.com/
inspired by "The Office": http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_16&listing_id=12807648
Both of these are super cute, but don't fit into the theme of the wedding so well. Anyone have any resources for invitations like these? Thanks!
