Have you looked into a music group from UVM? A student group might be into more "hip" music.
Not sure about hip but for good string players, I recommend Mary Gibson - a violinist with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra - her home phone is [edited]- she also has additional string contacts.
I would encourage you to PM her with the contact info. Posting her home phone number isn't something I'm comfortable leaving on the boards, sorry!

Hi! I am getting married in Stowe on May 29th and looking for a violinist or duo in the area....preferably a duo that is able to play fun hip music....not just the classic stuff. I am thinking Bob Marley, Black Eyed Peas, maybe even a little Lady Gaga.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be for the cocktail hour and ceremony.
