Since this a small wedding of just 6 people I don't want to rent a venue for a couple of hours just for pics.  The place we are getting married is a park on a lake near our home.  If it rains (it says 50% chance at the moment) we could get married under a pavillion  instead of the dock as we had planned.

The problem is our photos will be very limited to the pavillion of course and I really don't want it in all my pics.  FI and I were going to have some very artsy photos done after the parents leave since we never had engagement pics done.

So, here's the options were are thinking, I need opinions from other brides:

Get married as planned w/ everyone dressed up and photographer takes what he can as far as pics and I get to hope a few come out good enough.

Get married under the pavillion but reschedule photographer for another day and have good pics done

Get married as planned and have photographer there then pay him yet again and photos done another day

Go to the courthouse that morning to get married in jeans and schedule photographer for another day

I would definitely say get married as planned and have some pictures taken, but also schedule a "day after" shoot for maybe just you and the groom (or everyone if they can make it).

Also if you did decide to go to the courthouse, you could still were your dress. There have been several bees who have had beautiful courthouse/City Hall weddings!

how much rain are we talking?

Regardless, I'd go ahead with the wedding as planned at the pavillion. Get pictures taken (afterall, that is what your wedding day was like!). If it is not raining too much, could you use umbrellas to get some other shots outside the pavillion?

After the wedding, could you take the photographer to your house and get some indoor artsy pics there?

Right now it says 50% chance of rain, this is FL though and when it rains it really rains normally.  I guess I just need to pray a lot!
