Yes you are! Go have it fixed ASAP! I had the same thing happen to me and luckily I brought it in to the jewellers and they said it was very loose and I was lucky I came in when I did. It only cost me £15 (about $20) to have it fixed and I got it back with in 48 hours so i strongly recommend you have it looked at too.
Yup! The middle diamond in my engagement ring started rattling around like that. It was covered under the warranty provided by the jeweler and they repaired it for free.
ALSO - take it off and don't wear it. Seriously, do not wear it until you get it fixed. This was really hard for me!
Don't wear it! I noticed one of the side stones on my ring was loose -- I could see it move and hear it rattling. My jeweller was also not local. I got to enjoy my ring in the box for a week and now it's been at the jewellers for two weeks (getting sized and tightened) and no word yet when we can pick it up.
If you can't get the ring back for a few months -- would you rather keep it safe in the box so you can at least look at it and then have it fixed in the spring when your FI gets back? Or send it away now and be without it for a few months and then get it back fixed?
I know it's so hard when you really want to wear it! Good luck!
Your jeweler should definitely be able to fix it for you. I actually dropped my ring and one of my little side stones popped out! Thankfully I found the stone but I learned that you're actually supposed to have your ring checked out a few times a year at least. My jeweler will clean it and tighten any loose prongs for free. Yours likely has a similar program.
Also I definitely recommend getting insurance on your ring in case something does happen. Hope this helps!
I agree with PP's. I wouldn't wear it until someone looks at it & fixes the problem.
ugh, fine :( its going to be so hard not to wear it, my hand looks so booring without it.
I send an email to the jewler to see how long the turn around time would be and to see if they could mail it back to be so I don't have to wait until spring. Hopefully it is an easy fix.
@globalmargaret: You can buy a cheap cz from somewhere as a stand-in so your hand isn't naked.

I just got my ring and I absolutely love it, but I noticed that the diamond tends to be a bit wiggely. I can't phisically see it move, but I noticed that when I shake it next to my ear or tap on the diamond I can hear it rattle around in side the bezel setting.
Am I at danger of losing the stone? Sending it back to get checked means giving it back to my FI to have him fly it back down to SD with him and I will get it back sometime in April or May, whenever the military sends him home. There are no local jewlers.... What do I do?!
