Allright:
1. When is the best time for you? Do you want to do this on a weekend afternoon, or say a weeknight?
2. Where is everyone located? How far are you willing to travel?
3. Budget - how much is everyone willing to spend?
4. What do you want to do?
I mean if we get enough people, we could do something like reserve a few tables at Chado Tea Room in Beverly Hills, which has afternoon tea for $15.00 per person on the weekends (a great deal.)
I think it'd be fun to do it like the OC Bee Meetup - nothing too crazy (no clubs, bars, etc.) but then I'm not much of a club hopper in the first place.
Oh and a place that has plenty of parking... 
for me:
1. Best times are weeknights or weekend afternoons until August.
2. I'm in West LA. My willing to travel range might go as far as Hollywood... I've really come to hate driving here in LA.
3. Nothing crazy, up to say 20/person at most.
4. Lunch sounds good, or we could say... head out to Santa Monica pier and loaf around on the pier, play silly games, and eat funnel cake.
Well Fourth of July weekend is coming up quickly and I feel like most people will be traveling. But...let's throw two dates out there. How about July 6 or July 12? That gives us two weekends to choose from? (Hopefully traffic won't be as bad on a weekend?)
Ill get thinking about some ideas of where to meet, but maybe shoot some out there if you have a good idea? Yay! I'm excited some of you are interested! :)

I'm free pretty much any weekend except the weekend of the 4th - so I'm flexible!
I'm in Silverlake, but I'd be willing to go as far West as the 405.
Cheaper is better, of course! But Chado tea room sounds like a fun, girly idea!

I'm in! I live in Thousand Oaks (actually westlake, so yep I'm in LA county!), the furthest I'd be willing to travel would prob be downtown.
Saturdays work for me :e) maybe the 18th?
Tea rooms sounds like fun, I've never done anything like that before!

Chado Tea Room in Beverly Hills just raised their prices to 18.00 per person for afternoon tea. 
You still feel super duper full after eating though.. at least I did yesterday. Four half sandwiches, a scone, and desserts that I didn't even touch. Afternoon tea is 1130 to 230pm on weekends.
Ye Olde English Head in Santa Monica also has afternoon tea for 15.95 a person.
Apparently, Pacific Dining Car also has tea. It doesn't give a price, but it does come with champagne or sherry in addition to your sandwiches, scones and cookies.
There is one in Pasadena that is not bad called Tea Rose Garden that has "English Tea" for $12.95. It includes 4 finger sandwiches, a scone, rose sugar cookie, fresh fruits and choice of tea. I'm always super full after this tea.
Either the 12th or 19th would be fine w/me.
Ladies, this is right before my wedding so I'm sorry I won't be able to meet you all. Although looking at my posts, I come off like some kind of grumpy sourpuss so maybe it's for the best.
I would also recommend The Tudor House in Santa Monica as a tea place. They are very non-snotty; you can order entrees a la carte for around $8 (though they require a $10 minimum for group reservations); and the food and tea are very good.

I can do either of those days too! I vote for Santa Monica or Pasadena!
The 19th works for me! I think its better to go to the Chado Tea Room in Beverly Hills. Pasadena is way to far for me! coming from calabasas!
By the way, this is lunch time right?

yes, this is lunch. afternoon tea at Chado is only 1130-230pm.
Tudor House, their tearoom is from 1030 to 530 on Saturdays and 11 to 530 on sundays.

Ooh sounds like a great idea. I would love to join but I have a wedding to go on the 19th. Any chance we could do it on the 20th?
OK Ladies! Here's the deal...we are going to do this July 20 in Santa Monica for lunch. I was thinking about it being a Saturday and realized there may be a lot of weddings that day and a Sunday may be best. We will also try to do it around 1:00 so if people have religion services, they may still be able to join us after.
Please PM me your email if you'd like to attend and Ill compile the number and make a reservation at one of the two tea places mentioned (whoever can hold our group). Then Ill send out one big email to confirm the date, place, time, and cost.
I'm sorry for all the confusion and hope no one gets mad for me taking charge like this...it just may be easier to get a total and them email you all details if you can make it. I am SO EXCITED we are doing this and that there is interest!!

hey ladies!
Well no one besides Dana responded so I'm assuming our meetup is off. I canceled our reservation so we're good.
Also, Im getting married Saturday so I'm porbably out for any future meetups for awhile. Hopefully someone else can make any future arrangements.
