I am curious about this too!  Maybe also post this in the Los Angeles forum?

I had my dress custom made by Liza of Brides by Liza in Beverly Hills. She is Incredible. Don’t let the location scare you away, she custom made my all imported lace dress for $2,000. Three years later, Liza made my best friend’s new wife’s dress, also gorgeous. She has off the rack dresses too but custom is where she really shines 🙂

Check Ivory Suite in South Pasadena, La Soie in Pasadena, and Pebbles in Woodland Hills. Ivory Suite was having a sample sale last time I was in there. JLM had some good stuff in the Tara Keely line that was under $2000, but that will probably be the only line there in your budget. As Lbward6 mentioned Lovely has soem pretty stuff as well. Also, if you are up for a drive there is a good spot in Santa Barbara called The Dress Bridal.  Hope this helps.

bellaJax2014:  I highly recommend Lovella in Glendale. They have a wide range of designers from Allure to Ines Di Santo. They carried the most beautiful dresses of all the salons I visited. The store is beautiful and classy, but also no element of pretentiousness.

Try Karoza Bridal in Glendale. They have a huge variety of dresses in different price points. I bought a beautiful lace Allure dress for $1200.

bellaJax2014:  Oh my gosh, PLEASE go to JBirds Bridal in Culver City. They are SO nice, made me feel wonderful (even though I’m overweight right now and was TERRIFIED of dress shopping), and all of their dresses are under $3k with TONS under $2k. The dresses are unique and don’t at all look “budget.” It’s a dream, really. I hope you go and love it!

kelsie5388:  Kelsie, see my reply to bellaJax above. Check out JBirds Bridal in Culver City! I have no affiliation with them other than I got my dress there and they were wonderful. I used to drive by there on my way to work and admire their window displays, so that’s how I found it.
